ABOUT BALEX AMERICAN HOMES

Behind every door is a
person worth knowing.

Balex American Homes provides in-home and adult foster care built around the person: their routines, their dignity, their story. Designed around the person. Built for the family.

WHO WE SERVE

Help people stay at home, safely

Balex American Homes provides non-medical in-home care and adult foster care so seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities, and people recovering from illness can remain where they are most themselves — at home, with their routines and relationships intact.

OUR MISSION

Care designed around the person

To deliver dependable, dignified care built around each individual's history, preferences, and goals — supported by trained caregivers, written care plans, and honest communication with the family at every step.

OUR PROMISE

Family peace of mind, in writing

Families know who is coming, what will happen, and when they will hear from us. We put our communication commitments in writing before care begins, and we keep them.

WHO WE SERVE

Care for the whole household

Our caregivers are trained, background-checked, insured, and matched to the person they support. Care can be a few hours a week or around the clock, and the plan is reviewed as needs change.

Seniors aging at home

Veterans and their families

Adults with developmental or physical disabilities

People recovering after a hospital stay

Families needing respite from caregiving

Households in end-of-life and hospice support

OUR STORY

Founded on a Simple Conviction

Every home holds a life's worth of meaning — the chair by the window, the familiar path from the kitchen to the front door, the quiet comfort of a place that knows you. Balex American Homes was founded on a simple conviction: that no one should have to leave that behind to receive the care they need.

Our founder, Thierry Batalonga, saw too often how the care system asked people to trade their independence for their safety. He believed there was a better way. Care that comes to you. Care built not around tasks and schedules, but around the person: their routines, their dignity, their story.

We call our approach the architecture of knowing. The architecture is the part families count on — dependable caregivers, thoughtful plans, structural reliability. The knowing is what makes us different: the time we take to understand each person, and the recognition that behind every care plan is a human being who deserves to be seen.

Today we serve seniors, veterans, individuals living with disabilities, and those recovering from illness across Southeast Michigan — treating every client the way we'd want our own family treated.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
How we practice what we promise

We start with a biography, not a chart

The Getting-to-Know-You process documents history, preferences, patterns, relationships, and joys before care begins — so the plan reflects a person, not a diagnosis.

We staff for continuity

Familiar faces matter. We match caregivers thoughtfully and keep teams consistent so trust has room to accumulate.

We put the promise in writing

Families receive a written communication charter: what we will tell you, how often, and who to call. In writing, before you commit.

We adjust as life does

Care plans are living documents, reviewed on a schedule and revised whenever the person — not the paperwork — changes.
